Honors and Appointments: Senior Partner George Rountree, III was inducted into the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame in the category of philanthropy at the Inductee Banquet at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington's Burney Center on May 3, 2009. George attended the University of Arizona on a combined Athletic-Academic Scholarship and played every game for the Wildcats Basketball team from his sophomore year through senior year. The 6'2" forward and co-captain was All-Conference in 1952-53 and helped lead the Wildcats to their Border Conference Co-Championship. George's love and support of athletics has continued his whole life, dedicating time, energy and money to his Alma Mater and numerous North Carolina student-athletes and educational institutions. One of the earliest members of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Seahawk Club, George has supported the Athletic Department generously. The UNCW men's basketball locker room bears his name as does Rountree Hall at the University of Arizona Law School. 

Partner Geoffrey Losee has been selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America for 2009-2010. This is his fourth consecutive year for such honor, in the field of Admiralty Law.

Partner Geoffrey Losee has been elected as Secretary of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute (SEALI), presiding over the 2nd half of the 2009 SEALI Summer Seminar and served as part of the CLE faculty at the 2009 Annual Meeting.

Lawyers on the Run ... Partner Charles Baldwin completed the Charlotte Thunder Road Marathon in December 2008.

Lawyers on the Run ... RLB Associate Jason Kesler completed the Big Sur International Marathon in April 2008.

Partner Charles Baldwin and Co-author David Epstein (former Director of the Office of International Civil Litigation at the U.S. Department of Justice) are writing a forthcoming book on international litigation for Brill Publishing. Baldwin recently published the 2nd edition of International Civil Dispute Resolution (Thomson/West).
